After our interviews, these were some interesting insights we found about our users that we had to consider, and these can be seen here.

02 DESIGN PROCESS FOR SenSights

UX does not only cater to the user’s needs but also the overall business direction of an organization. When these two stakeholders are satisfied, it leads to achieving the goals of the organization and creates benefits for both the user and the business. The process must also be well structured and tailored, but also leave room for dynamism with users’ ever-changing needs and the business’s shifting goals. Outlined below are the steps we have taken as a team to come up with a design solution for the SenSights app.

03 Finding problems

Seniors using the SenSights application are either finding little use for it or struggling to adapt to its intuitiveness. This has given the need to redesign the app with a senior’s perspective at the forefront.

04 Stakeholder

A stakeholder map is a diagram that illustrates all the relevant stakeholders that affect directly or indirectly the current situation.

05 EMPATHY MAPS

We started to create an Empathy Map. Empathy Map is a technique whereby we try to understand the user and discover insights after an interview with the user. A quadrant is used to break down proceedings of the interview into four sections, namely Say, Do, Think, Feel. As they are worded, we write out what the user said during the interview, what they did, how they perceived things (thought), and how they felt. It is usually in the last two quadrants (Think and Feel) that insights are discovered, and design opportunities are cultivated.

06 How Might We’s (HMW)

in this step we came up with some questions that are started with how might we? For example;

05 Bubble Diagram

Bubble diagrams help us visualize all possible solutions we have come up with, and then narrow down to the ideal or chosen method of designing a solution.

05 Point of view

We would like to help seniors get the best use out of our app despite the fact that many find it difficult to use and not too beneficial.

02 Brainstorming - Low & high-fidelity

In this step, after brainstorming we started to create a low and high-fidelity version of the app.

03 Prototyping  (Final Result)

We had a lot of changes and try to simplify as much as possible. This is the latest version of the app which we came up with until now.
